New Delhi, Jun 26: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Vice President C P Radhakrishnan on Friday remembered the sacrifice of Imam Hussain (AS) and said it continues to inspire many people to remain steadfast in the pursuit of truth and justice.
PM Modi conveyed the message on the occasion of Ashura.
"The sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) continues to inspire many people to remain steadfast in the pursuit of truth and justice. It is also a reminder of the enduring power of courage and conviction," the PM said in a post on microblogging site 'X'.
Vice President C P Radhakrishnan said, "On the occasion of Ashura, we remember the sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS). "Muharram reminds us of the values of courage, sacrifice, compassion and steadfast commitment to truth and justice.
May this sacred occasion inspire us to strengthen the bonds of harmony, peace and mutual respect in our society," he posted on X.
