Muzaffarnagar, (T. N. Bharati): Nearly 500 patients from rural areas of Muzaffarnagar received free medical consultations, medicines, and diagnostic services at the 152nd Free Unani Medical Camp organised by the All India Unani Tibbi Congress, Delhi, at Toda Kalyanpur in Budhana tehsil. The camp featured comprehensive health check-ups, including blood sugar testing, dental examinations, and eye screening, reaffirming the growing role of traditional healthcare in serving underprivileged communities.
Addressing the gathering as the chief guest, Dr. Samrat said the Unani system of medicine possesses the capability to diagnose and effectively treat a wide range of ailments. He urged the Government of India to establish a dedicated Unani dispensary in Muzaffarnagar to expand access to affordable and traditional healthcare services.
Advocate Shan Jabeen Qazi, Founder of Al-Qazi Ayurvedic and Unani Dawakhana, noted social worker, and Legal Advisor to the All India Unani Tibbi Congress, said serving patients brings her immense satisfaction and peace of mind. She stated that approximately 500 patients were examined during the one-day camp and provided free medicines according to their medical needs.
General Secretary of the All India Unani Tibbi Congress, Hakim Syed Ahmad Khan, said the Unani system has benefited people in India for centuries. He paid tribute to the pioneering contributions of Hakim Ajmal Khan and Hakim Abdul Hameed in preserving and promoting the country's rich Unani medical heritage.
Advocate Shan Jabeen Qazi noted that a significant number of patients seeking treatment were suffering from joint pain, stomach and liver disorders, and diabetes, highlighting the continued need for accessible preventive and primary healthcare services in rural areas.
Village Pradhan Anuj Sarohi, attending as the guest of honour, appreciated the organisers for their humanitarian initiative and commended their efforts in delivering free healthcare to economically weaker sections of society.
The camp was successfully organised with the support of Hakim Zakiuddin (Former Deputy Director, CCRUM), Hakim Syed Yasir Kairanvi, Dr. Anand Sharma, Hakim Mohammad Murtaza Dehlavi, Hakim Naeem Raza, Advocate Shan Jabeen Qazi, Maulana Sadiq Mazahiri, and Dr. Shehnaz Parveen. The proceedings were conducted by Maulana Saad Abid Nomani.
