MOSCOW, July 20 : Russia is ready to facilitate a settlement between the Iranians and the Arabs and will be happy to provide a platform for dialogue, but does not intend to impose itself, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Alimov said.
"We are ready to facilitate a peaceful resolution of disagreements between both the US and Iran, and between Iranians and Arabs. We will be happy to provide a platform for Arab-Iranian dialogue, but we do not intend to impose ourselves," Alimov told the Izvestia newspaper.
Russia maintains close contacts with all interested parties, including Islamabad, Riyadh, and Ankara, Alimov said.
"We know that efforts to return the parties to negotiations are ongoing," he added. (UNI)
