Bandipora, July 14: The Private Schools Association (PSA), District Bandipora, submitted a comprehensive Education Reform Memorandum to the Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, seeking policy reforms and institutional support to strengthen the private education sector in the district.

The memorandum highlighted the significant contribution of private educational institutions in providing quality education, generating employment, promoting innovation, and nurturing thousands of students across Bandipora. It urged the administration to introduce progressive policy reforms and institutional support to ensure the sustainable growth and development of private schools.

The Association sought several key reforms, including simplification of school recognition and renewal through a single-window clearance system, financial assistance and soft loan facilities, teacher welfare and professional development programmes, infrastructure support, subsidized electricity tariffs, improved transport and student safety measures, promotion of digital education, scholarship schemes for deserving students, disaster relief assistance for educational institutions, equal opportunities in sports and co-curricular activities, and the establishment of a dedicated grievance redressal mechanism for private schools.

On the occasion, the Association also extended a formal invitation to the Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor to grace and inaugurate the National Science Exhibition being organised by International Delhi Public School (IDPS), Bandipora, in collaboration with the Private Schools Association, District Bandipora.

The proposed exhibition will bring together students, educators, skill development institutions, vocational training organisations, innovators, and young entrepreneurs from across Jammu and Kashmir. It aims to showcase student-led scientific projects, STEM innovations, research initiatives, practical skills, and emerging technologies while encouraging collaboration between educational institutions, industry experts, and researchers. The event seeks to inspire scientific temperament, innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development among the youth in line with the vision of Viksit Bharat.

The Association stated that the gracious presence of the Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor would inspire thousands of students, teachers, and participants while reaffirming the Administration's commitment to quality education, scientific advancement, skill development, and youth empowerment in Jammu and Kashmir.

Reiterating its commitment to supporting the Government's vision of accessible, inclusive, and quality education, the Association expressed hope that the Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor would sympathetically consider the memorandum and honour the National Science Exhibition with his esteemed presence, making the event a landmark occasion for the students and educational community of Bandipora.
