Mandi Gobindgarh, May 5: A prestigious Multi-District Rotary Peace Summit 2026 was organized today at Desh Bhagat University, bringing together prominent leaders and members from Rotary Districts 3070, 3080, and 3090 under the inspiring theme “Peace Through Service.”

Hosted by Rotary Club Gobindgarh 3090, the summit aimed to promote peace, harmony and service-driven leadership across communities. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from Rotary leaders, academicians, students and social contributors, creating a vibrant platform for dialogue and collaboration.

The program began with the arrival of distinguished guests, followed by a ceremonial Guard of Honour and the installation of the Peace Pole, symbolizing Rotary’s enduring commitment to global peace.

The occasion was graced by eminent dignitaries including Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University, Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur, and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, whose presence added prestige to the event.

Highlights include a welcome address by Charter President Dr. Sandeep Singh, President Collar Ceremony, student performances, and speeches by key Rotary leaders such as Rtn. Amritpal Singh (District Chair Peace 3080), Rtn. Rohit Oberoi (District Governor 3070), Rtn. Ravi Parkash (District Governor 3080), and Rtn. Bhupesh Mehta (District Governor 3090). A special session on Inner Peace by former Vice Chancellor DBU Dr. Shalini Gupta, Director Punjab skill development mission Dr. Meenu Dhiman  and a felicitation ceremony will also be organised.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Rtn. Gagan Sassan, followed by networking. The summit is expected to encourage meaningful interaction among participants.
