J&K Educational Institutions to Remain Closed on September 4 for Janmashtami
Srinagar, September 3, 2026: All government and private schools, colleges and other educational institutions across Jammu and Kashmir will remain closed on Friday, September 4, 2026, on account of Janmashtami.
The closure will apply to educational institutions across the Union Territory, providing students, teaching staff and other employees an opportunity to observe the festival.
Parents, students and staff members have been advised to take note of the holiday and plan accordingly.
The institutions are expected to resume normal academic activities after the holiday, as per their respective schedules.
