Haj Pilgrims from J&K to Return from June 2; Baggage Restrictions Announced Due to NOTAM, Road Transport from Ahmedabad Arranged
Srinagar, May 29: After the culmination of Hajj-2026, aspirants from Jammu and Kashmir are all set to return from the pilgrimage, with the Jammu and Kashmir Haj Committee (JKHC) announcing the arrival phase of Haj flights for pilgrims returning from Saudi Arabia from June 2, 2026, at Srinagar International Airport.
According to an official notification, the first flight carrying pilgrims in QP-7629 (those who departed on April 18 through flight QP-7519) is scheduled to arrive on June 2 at 12:45 PM. The second flight (QP-7630) will arrive on June 3 at 12:50 PM, while the third flight (QP-7631) is scheduled to land on June 4 at 12:55 PM.
The Committee, as per communication received from the Haj Committee of India and Akasa Airline, stated that special arrangements have been made in view of the NOTAM and restrictions related to landing aircraft with heavy loads. Pilgrims’ luggage from Ahmedabad to Srinagar will be transported by road, while immigration and customs clearance formalities will be completed at Ahmedabad itself before departure.
The Committee issued several guidelines for pilgrims: Only one hand baggage weighing up to 7 kilograms is permitted per pilgrim. Check-in baggage for Srinagar flights is restricted to 5 kilograms per person. Additional baggage exceeding 5 kilograms, up to a maximum of 30 kilograms per pilgrim, will be transported separately by road from Ahmedabad to Srinagar. No single piece of check-in luggage should exceed 22 kilograms. Pilgrims travelling in the same cover group are advised to keep their Srinagar check-in baggage together for easier handling.
Pilgrims will be able to collect baggage transported by road from Haj House Srinagar after its arrival.
Relatives intending to receive pilgrims at Srinagar International Airport have been asked to download vehicle passes from the official website of the J&K Haj Committee two days before the respective arrival dates. Timings for the remaining Haj flights will be notified separately.
