Fresh Threats to PM Package Employees Deeply Alarming Government Must Act Immediately: Vivek Bali
SBSP J&K State President Demands Immediate Security Audit, Probe into Alleged Data Leak and Safe Accommodation for Vulnerable Employees

Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) J&K ,State President , Vivek Bali has expressed serious concern over the latest threats reportedly targeting PM Package employees in Jammu and Kashmir, stating that the matter warrants immediate and decisive intervention by the government and security agencies.
Bali said the reported circulation of photographs of protesting employees along with an image of an AK-47 has heightened concerns over the safety and security of vulnerable employees. He urged the authorities to treat the matter as a serious security concern and take preventive measures without any further delay.
“The fresh threats against PM Package employees are deeply alarming. When photographs of employees are circulated along with threatening messages and references to their personal details, it raises serious questions about their safety and the possible misuse or unauthorised circulation of sensitive information. The government must act before the situation escalates,” Vivek Bali said.
He called upon the Jammu and Kashmir Police and concerned security agencies to immediately take cognisance of the reported threats, register cases under relevant provisions of law and identify those responsible for issuing and circulating such communications.
Bali demanded an immediate security audit and individual threat assessment of employees whose photographs or personal information have appeared in the threatening communications. He said appropriate security arrangements must be provided to those found vulnerable.
“Security cannot be reactive. When specific individuals are being threatened and their photographs are being circulated, preventive action is essential. Waiting for an actual attack before responding would be a grave mistake,” he said.
The SBSP J&K State President also sought a thorough and time-bound investigation into the alleged leak or circulation of personal information of PM Package employees through social media and other digital platforms.
“If phone numbers, addresses, family details, movements or other personal information of government employees are being accessed or circulated without authorisation, the source of that information must be identified and investigated. Any unlawful access, leakage or misuse of personal data must be dealt with strictly under the law,” Bali said.
Bali further urged the administration to expedite the provision of secure transit accommodation to employees who continue to reside in vulnerable locations and have repeatedly sought safer accommodation.
“Employees who are serving the government should be able to discharge their duties without living under constant fear for their lives and families. Those facing genuine security concerns must be shifted to properly secured accommodation on priority,” he said.
He appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, the J&K Director General of Police and senior security officials to personally review the situation and ensure coordinated action.
Bali said that PM Package employees are contributing to the functioning of the government and public services in Jammu and Kashmir and should not be made to feel abandoned or insecure.
“Our employees are not enemies of the people. They are government employees performing their duties. Their safety, dignity and confidence must be protected. The administration has a responsibility to ensure that no employee is forced to choose between livelihood and personal security,” Bali stated.
He added that ensuring the safety of employees who have returned to Kashmir is also important for maintaining confidence in broader efforts concerning the return, rehabilitation and reintegration of displaced Kashmiri Pandit families. He emphasised that the PM Package is intended to support the return and rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits, many of whom continue to stay and serve in the Kashmir Valley despite security concerns.
Bali urged the authorities to identify and prosecute those responsible for the threats, investigate the alleged data leak, conduct an immediate security audit of vulnerable employees and ensure secure accommodation wherever required.
“We appeal for firm action before these threats translate into violence. The time to act is now. Preventive security measures can save lives and restore confidence among employees and their families,” Vivek Bali said.
