Experts Enlighten Freshers on Artificial Intelligence During Deeksharambh at Desh Bhagat University

Mandi Gobindgarh, August 28: Desh Bhagat University (DBU) continued its Deeksharambh Student Induction Programme with an insightful professional talk on Artificial Intelligence (AI), aimed at familiarising freshers with the transformative role of AI in modern life, education and future careers.
The event was graced by Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor, and Dr. Tajinder Kaur, Pro-Chancellor, as the Chief Guests. Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor, addressed the gathering and encouraged students to pursue excellence, remain curious and make the most of their academic and professional journeys.
The highlight of the programme was an expert session by Prof. Manik Kathuria, Enterprise Account Director, Coursera. Sharing valuable insights into the growing influence of Artificial Intelligence, he explained its relevance in everyday life as well as the professional world. His session, titled “The Reality Check,” focused on the changing skills landscape, employability, industry expectations and the competencies required to succeed in a rapidly evolving workplace.
The Khelo India Dialogue: “Khel Ki Baat PM Modi Ke Sath” live broadcast from New Delhi was also telecast during the event.
Addressing the students, Mr. L. S. Maluka, a renowned expert, emphasised the importance of staying updated with knowledge, developing a passion for learning and continuously enhancing one's skills throughout student life.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members. Participants actively interacted with the experts, raised thoughtful questions and engaged in meaningful discussions. A vibrant cultural programme presented by DBU students further added energy and enthusiasm to the gathering.
