Mandi Gobindgarh, May 19: At the international literary event organized at Sahitya Akademi’s Ravindra Bhavan in New Delhi, noted litterateur and Dalit thinker from Desh Bhagat University, Professor Dr. Ajaypal Singh Shekhawat, was honoured for his remarkable participation as the chief speaker in the “Ravivariya Kahani Varta” programme.

The event was organized by Himalaya Virasat Trust and Lekhak Gaon on the occasion of completing 150 weeks of the weekly programme “Ravivariya Kahani Varta,” which focuses on the stories of former Union Education Minister, former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, and renowned litterateur Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank'.

During the ceremony, celebrated humor poet Ashok Chakradhar, Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank', K. G. Suresh, Secretary of Sahitya Akademi Professor Varun Kumar Gulati, Professor Darshan Pandey, and Ashna Negi presented the honour to Dr. Ajaypal Singh Shekhawat.

On this achievment Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh, Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur, and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Harsh Sadawarti of Desh Bhagat University described it as a proud literary moment for the university. Hundreds of writers and literary figures from across the country participated in the programme.
