DBU MBA Students Gain Industry Exposure During Visit to Coca-Cola Factory
Mandi Gobindgarh, September 3: Under the visionary guidance of Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor; Dr. Tajinder Kaur, Pro-Chancellor; and Prof. (Dr.) Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor the Department of Business Management and Commerce, Desh Bhagat University (DBU), organised an industrial visit to the Coca-Cola Factory, Ludhiana, for students of MBA 3rd Semester, providing them with valuable practical exposure to industrial operations and contemporary business practices.
The visit was organised with the objective of bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world industry practices. It provided students an opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge of the functioning of a large-scale manufacturing organisation and understand how various business functions are integrated to ensure operational efficiency.
During the visit, the students observed various stages of the production and packaging processes and gained insights into quality control, inventory management, supply chain operations, logistics and workplace management. They also learnt about the coordination among different departments and the role of technology and systematic processes in maintaining smooth and efficient operations.
The interaction with industry professionals further enriched the students’ learning experience, enabling them to understand the challenges and opportunities involved in managing modern manufacturing organisations. The visit also highlighted the importance of teamwork, operational efficiency, quality standards and customer-oriented business practices.
The students participated enthusiastically throughout the visit and showed keen interest in understanding the various industrial processes. The activity contributed to developing their managerial perspective, professional behaviour, communication skills and overall industry awareness.

Dr. Nidhi Gupta, Director, Department of Business Management and Commerce, appreciated the management and staff of the Coca-Cola Factory, Ludhiana, for facilitating the educational visit and providing the students with meaningful industrial exposure. She also acknowledged the efforts of the faculty members involved in coordinating the activity.
The industrial visit concluded on a positive note, offering students an enriching experiential learning opportunity and further strengthening the connection between academic knowledge and industry practices.
