CNMS Honours Ten Educators with Viksit Bharat Shikshak Award 2026

Around 200 Nominations Received as CNMS Selects Educators for Viksit Bharat Shikshak Award 2026

New Delhi, 31 August 2026: The Centre for NaMo Studies (CNMS) has announced the selection of teachers, professors and educators for the Viksit Bharat Shikshak Award 2026. The awardees have been selected pursuant to the recommendations of a jury constituted by the Centre for NaMo Studies. The awards will be conferred on National Teachers Day 2026.

The selected ten awardees from the all category include Prof. Lovely Sharma, Vice Chancellor, Rajkumari Indira Singh Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya, Chhattisgarh; Prof. Payal Kanwar Chandel, Central University of Haryana; Prof. Raman Chadha, Chandigarh University ; Prof. Deepti Taneja, Delhi College of Arts & Commerce, University of Delhi; Dr. Amna Mirza University of Delhi; and Dr. Shreedevi Devindrappa Kalyan Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence, Kalaburagi, Karnataka.

In the College category, the awardees are Dr. Alka Michael, Gargi College, University of Delhi, and Dr. Syed Mahrul Hasan, S.B. College of Law, Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh.

The School category includes Ms. Krati Sharma, Principal, Vrindavan Public School, Dhorera, Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh, and Ms. Meenakshi Kaur, Kathak Teacher, Graphic Era Global School, Dehradun.

The Viksit Bharat Shikshak Award 2026 seeks to acknowledge educators whose dedication, academic leadership, innovative approaches and commitment to teaching contribute meaningfully to the development of India's education ecosystem and the larger vision of a Viksit Bharat.

The awards will be presented in New Delhi on 3 September 2026 as part of the national seminar programme.

Our Jury carefully evaluated each nomination on the basis of academic excellence, teaching, innovation, leadership and contribution to nation-building before selecting the awardees.
