Samsung India has brought its flagship innovation and education programme, 'Samsung Solve for Tomorrow 2026', to Jammu & Kashmir, engaging 452 students in Design Thinking Workshops aimed at fostering innovation and problem-solving skills among young minds.
The workshops were conducted at Army Public School, Ratnuchak, Jammu, and Government Degree College, Baramulla. According to an official spokesperson, participants were introduced to Samsung’s human-centred innovation framework, helping them identify real-world challenges, understand user needs and develop technology-driven solutions with social impact.
The initiative forms part of Samsung’s nationwide effort to expand innovation opportunities beyond metropolitan centres. Through workshops being held across 100 cities, the programme seeks to equip young innovators with future-ready entrepreneurial and problem-solving skills.
Among the participants was Zamin Anayat Lone from Government Degree College Sopore, who proposed a mobile application featuring SOS alerts and live-location sharing to improve accessibility and emergency response services.
Other students explored solutions related to waste management, career guidance and digital accessibility, reflecting the growing innovation potential among youth in the region.
Samsung Solve for Tomorrow is an innovation competition for young people aged 14 to 22 years, encouraging solutions in areas such as artificial intelligence, health and education, environmental sustainability and sports technology.
The company said it remains committed to nurturing the next generation of innovators through mentorship and innovation-led learning opportunities.
