Kupwara : MLA Kupwara, Mir Mohammad Fayaz, visited the Kupwara Bus Stand to assess the prevailing conditions and interact with drivers, members of the Bus Union, and passengers.
During the visit, several concerns were highlighted, including the lack of proper sanitation facilities, inadequate infrastructure, and the need for installation of solar lights at the bus stand. The stakeholders urged immediate intervention to improve basic amenities and ensure better services for commuters.
The MLA gave a patient hearing to all grievances and assured that necessary steps would be taken to address the issues on priority. He emphasized the importance of improving civic facilities to enhance public convenience.
The visit also comes in the backdrop of a recent fire incident during the intervening night, in which three buses were completely damaged while three others suffered partial damage.
Expressing concern over the incident, Mir Mohammad Fayaz assured full support to the affected owners and drivers, stating that efforts would be made to provide relief and necessary assistance.
He reiterated his commitment to the development of Kupwara and assured that both infrastructural shortcomings and the concerns of fire victims would be addressed in a time bound manner.
